A truly heart-warming evening of the most subliminal carols at Powderham Castle with Exeter Cathedral choir. This was honestly one of the most memorable evenings we’ve had in any build-up to Christmas: the carols sung with crystalline and timeless beauty, the wide-ranging and eclectic choice of repertoire touching the heart, and the evening delivered in such an illuminating way as to make you feel you were in the company of friends – it created a tangible feeling of Christmas spirit and goodwill, often misplaced in the frenzied build up to the 25th. Set against the mesmerising backdrop of Powderham Castle glowing and shining with lights, it felt like stepping into a magical winter wonderland. Thank you for a memorable evening.
