Wells Cathedral School Jazz Ensemble, 15th March 2024
The Wells Cathedral School Senior Jazz Combo are the school’s premier jazz musicians. All members of the group study at the school as Specialist Musicians, a course which is supported by the DfE Music & Dance Scheme.
Their programme will include a variety of mainstream swing and standards from ‘The Great American Songbook’ alongside music by John Coltrane and Charlie Parker.
The Sextet are on top form having just returned from a week tour to the home of jazz – New York City!
We welcome Wells as regular visitors, but it’s a first time visit for the Jazz youngsters – not to be missed!
